what else? recently Ive been playinga lot of poker, in real life and online. poker is a truly fascinating game and the more I understand it the more i know I will never get to the level I’m happy with coz the amount of work required is ridiculous. there r so many variables and actually quite a lot of guess work. for example a player you know is bad might actually have a good hand, or might make a good move by luck or might be in a different mood tonight.
I played a terrible amount of poker at med school and although initially was a losing player (90% apparently r due to lack of skill and rake) I eventually became a winning player. nowadays I mostly play for fun and relaxation and only play properly a few days a year. every now and then I make a wee score by going deep in a tournament. a few days ago banked a $165 win (buy in $1) and sometime last year or the year before a $350 win (buy in free). if ur wondering, online poker is mainly played in usd due to popularity of the game in that country
if u want to learn how to play poker a good place to start would be the mental game of poker a book I read when I was still in med school. obviously u can get it in audiobook at a discount using the link above x
