The passive income continues to trickle in and I’ve been averaging around £300 – 400 net every month.

The number (£1,013) is far smaller than expected because my main p2p venture that created a quarterly £500 has completely collapsed. Tragic but if you look at the positive side I’ve reduced my reliance on p2p income to almost nothing, compared to when I first began creating passive income when it actually made up 60% of the final number.

A number is all it is at the end of the day and I know I need very little to be happy. Instead of panicking like a lot of younger investors I took advantage of the recent bear market to add a solid five figure sum to my stock portfolio and have already made a 4-figure profit on the capital.

Stock market investing is not for everyone. If you experience negative emotions, for example if your £100,000 stock portfolio drops by 20% to £80,000 which is the drop that happened a couple of weeks ago then investing in stocks is probably not for you. Real estate might be the better option, and ensure you steer clear of peer to peer lending. I’m not a very emotional man so I can get away with taking advantage of these situations.
